I was fortunate enough to meet and work closely with Donald during my time at the SABC. As a continuity presenter, it was Donald’s task to prepare me fully for the stresses and strains of live TV.
From day 1, I could immediately identify with Donald's great sense of humour. His level of expertise is truly astounding, and it became clear that Donald’s professional training provided much more, than simply ‘what to do in front of a camera’. His approach is meticulous, and his attention to detail truly prepared me for what to expect. Donald’s major strength is his ability to work tirelessly to develop individual talent. I learnt quickly with Donald, and his quirky methods had me laughing, but also improving. One major highlight, was his fantastic feedback and criticism sessions. Although not always easy, these sessions strengenthed my understanding of Donald’s work, turning theory into practical experiences. From my first day live on air in front of 20 million viewers, I was not only calm and prepared, but confident that I was a great presenter.
Donald is a master of his craft, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. His training covers all aspects from A to Z, and is memorable, entertaining, and hugely beneficial.
